Suburban Camping Co. was invited to speak at Midstreams Elementary school on Wednesday and we had a blast! It was a perfect sunny day to pitch a tent and teach the kids the fundamentals of camping! The students had a chance to erect the tent, hammer in the stakes and fill the tent with some essentials! The kids could not wait to get inside and everyone wanted to try out the cot! {i think someone may have even taken a nap on it!} After the tent was up and everyone had a chance to participate we passed around a chalkboard banner for all the kids to sign and posed for a class picture! We had so much fun talking about backyard camping and hope Midstreams School gets back outdoors this summer!

    >”I can still remember going on my first camping trip with the girl scouts! We stayed in cabins only a mile from my home, but it felt a world away! Bonding with the girls in such a pure setting, away from TVs and boys.. ha ha!” – Kella

The Scouts are a valuable experience for boys and girls, the process builds character and teaches young people how to succeed with their goals! It also offers an outlet to the outdoors and instills a lifelong appreciaton for nature!

A perfect outing for scouts or other outdoor groups! SCC will be hosting several bridging ceremonies this summer and can’t wait! Ask about our discount rates for scouting groups!
