    festival season is here and we have some of the best pit stops on your way up the mountain!

    the catskill region is a beautiful place to spend a weekend. artists colonies like woodstock and phoenicia are chock full of antique shops, farm to table eateries and breathtaking scenery! here are just a few of our favorite stops along the way!

    make a pit stop in woodstock and get your inner hippie on.. grab a tie dye for the show and pick up a gourmet meal along the stream at the bear cafe. if you decide to spend the night, check into the woodstock inn on the millstream - a retro inspired motel where breakfast is served al fresco!

    just a short drive from woodstock is the idyllic mountain town of phoenicia. grab some breakfast at the phoenicia diner {1} and hit the water with tinker tube rentals {2} after drying off head into town for some unique shopping – the mystery spot {3} is a like nothing you’ve ever seen {filled with local art, junky antiques and the weird & unusual}. if you’re feeling a bit worn out and want to get centered try the zen mountain monastery {4} and get your om on with the local monks! then head to the woodstock animal sanctuary {5} to meet a goat named wilfred who escaped a dinner table in brooklyn and many other animals! you’re beginning to get sleepy, and the best spot to stay is the lazy meadow {6} where you can sleep in a vintage airstream for the night!

    don’t foget to pull over for a few pics at kaaterskill falls and grab the turkey club @ circle w general store! {7} once you’ve made it to the town of hunter you will be greeted by small town folk, grateful dead shops and phil & willie will be waiting to show you to your tent! {ok chris & kella will show you to your tent, but you will get to hear phil lesh and willie nelson play!}

    hope to see you at mountain jam & taste of country fest – back to back shows at hunter mountain, ny this june!

    happy trails!
